Lake Apremont
Just 30 km from the campsite, it’s a great place for families to relax. Swimming is supervised in July and August. From April to October, the lake’s beach and leisure area offer a wide range of activities: bar, restaurant, children’s games, picnics, pedalo hire, etc. Note that the lake is located close to the town center of this charming little commune, also famous for its castle. Take the opportunity to visit it.
Lac du Jaunay
Just 40 kms from the Plein Sud campsite in Saint Jean de Monts, this is a place to discover. Hikers and mountain bikers won’t be disappointed. All along its 8 kms, you’ll discover small beaches (forbidden to swimming) where you can relax.
Picnic tables are also available for wilderness lovers. Fishing is permitted with a licence, so don’t hesitate to tease roach, perch, carp and pike.
Lake Finfarine
It’s located south of Saint Jean de Monts, around 70 kms from the campsite at Poiroux, 10 km from Talmont Saint Hilaire. It’s a magnificent lake for hiking and cycling enthusiasts. It’s easy to get around the lake.
It’s also a fishing lake, with a compulsory fishing licence. Take advantage of your trip to visit the nearby “Folie de Finfarine” (home of the tree and honey).
Lake Touchegray
The Touchegray leisure park in Chantonnay offers a sandy beach for sunbathing and a swimming area for a relaxing and fun-filled vacation.Water sports enthusiasts can rent canoes, pedalos and stand-up paddle boats all summer long, and take part in fun activities such as archery, archery touch… and many others.
