1,800 km cycling network
To share the diversity of its rich heritage, the Vendée boasts an impressive 1,800 km cycling network. Numerous circuits criss-cross the department, from the coast to the Marais Poitevin, passing through the Bocage in complete tranquillity. From the dunes to the sea, the marshes and GPS rides.
Nature trails
The “Nature Trails” run through dune, forest, marsh and hedged farmland, offering a wealth of opportunities for beautiful walks in the Pôle Touristique Vendée des Iles. By following these signposted paths at your own pace, you can fully appreciate the diversity of flora and fauna and the variety of landscapes. There are 23 trails and, as of 2019, 12 trail trails (information at theSaint Jean de Monts tourist office).
Fishing on foot
Fishing on foot takes place at low tide in rocky or sandy areas, where anglers gather crustaceans, molluscs, fish and possibly sea urchins.
Noirmoutier aquarium
The Noirmoutier aquarium offers you a visit to the land of cold and tropical seas. As you explore the marine flora and fauna, you’ll be delighted by the spectacle of sea lions (29 min. – 25.5 km).
Explora Parc
Located in the heart of the Saint-Jean-de-Monts dune forest. Numerous activities for families and friends. On the adventure side, you can try out the 8 accrobranche courses and the 500 m² net. Relax at the massage booth, in the hammocks or on the terrace of the Forest Bar (5 min. – 3.6 km).
