When is Camping Plein Sud open in Vendée?
The campsite is open from 06/04 to 30/09. The rest of the year, only the offices (telephone reception, e-mail, internet) remain open.
What are the opening hours of the Camping Plein Sud reception?
In low season, we welcome you every day from 9am to 12:30pm and from 2pm to 6:30pm. In July and August, 9am to 12:30pm and 2pm to 7:30pm daily, and all day Saturday. Out of season, we are available by telephone on 02.51.59.10.40, Monday to Friday, 9am to 12:30pm and 2pm to 5pm.
When can you arrive at Camping Plein Sud?
In low season, arrivals are free and we give you the opportunity to book short stays (2 nights minimum), except for long weekends (May 1st, May 8th, Ascension, Pentecost: 3 nights min.). In July/August, we offer arrivals on Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays for rentals, and every day for pitches. In high season, stays are for a minimum of 7 nights. Escape the roads & extend your rental stay by a few days with our 10/11-night packages (on certain accommodations only).
How do you check in at Camping Plein Sud?
In Low Season (April, May, June & September). You can arrive at any time, just contact us beforehand so that we can prepare your rental. – In High Season (July, August) from 12pm (for bare pitches) & 3pm (for rentals). In order to make the most of your stay and to facilitate check-in on arrival, don’t forget to prepare your deposits.
Is it possible to arrive outside reception opening hours?
Yes, it is possible to arrive after reception has closed. Just let us know in advance so that we can make arrangements and explain how to proceed.
What are the opening hours of the campsite gates?
The gates are open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. The campsite is accessible using the magnetic card provided to you when you checked in at reception. If you arrive after the gates have closed, please park your vehicle in the visitor parking lot at the campsite entrance and walk to your pitch. Reminder: For your own safety and to ensure that everyone gets a good night’s sleep, the speed limit inside the campsite is 10km/h, and traffic is strictly forbidden between 11pm and 6am.
What time must I vacate my pitch or accommodation on the day of departure?
No later than noon for camping pitches and no later than 10am for rental accommodation. Departures between 8 & 10 am for rentals. Additional charges apply for late departures. For rentals, we invite you to drop by reception a few days before your departure so that we can arrange an inventory of fixtures on the day of your departure. If you wish, you can always choose the end-of-stay cleaning option at a cost of €60 (2-bedroom cottage) or €80 (3-bedroom cottage).
Is it possible to leave very early in the morning before reception opens?
Yes, you can leave before reception opens. Please note…to respect the sleep of our guests, the gates only open from 6am. If you wish to leave at dawn, we invite you to leave your vehicle in the outside parking lot and walk there in the peace and quiet. However, please let reception know in advance so that we can give you all the information you need to organize your departure. We remind you that you are responsible for your rental and that the inventory of fixtures will therefore be carried out without your presence. The rental must be returned in a clean and tidy condition. If this is not the case, we will be obliged to keep your deposit, and if this is insufficient to cover the cost of restoring the property, you undertake to pay the full amount.
Why do I have to give the names of all the participants before I arrive?
This is a statutory obligation for the campsite, which must keep an up-to-date list of all guests. This list also enables us to calculate the amount of tourist tax to be collected.
What is the tourist tax?
0.65 €/day/person aged 18 & over (subject to modification by the prefecture). The taxe de séjour is a tax on stays that can be levied by French municipalities recognized as tourist resorts, and is collected by landlords, hoteliers, owners, etc. The rate varies according to the destination. Rates vary according to destination. You will be asked to pay this tax when you arrive at the campsite, and it may vary according to the age of your guests, and be determined for a specific period of the year (from 01/04 to 30/09).
What is the cancellation guarantee?
The cancellation guarantee is an optional package payable in full only when you book your vacation. It corresponds to 3.50% of the stay. This guarantee ensures reimbursement of the sums paid (by providing proof) and applies in the cases cited in the General Terms and Conditions of Sale. How can I book my vacation if I don’t have a credit card?
You can contact us on 02.51.59.10.40 and we’ll make your reservation together. You will then receive a full “option” rental contract valid for 7 days only, which will be validated on receipt of your payment (cheque, vacation vouchers, bank transfer).
Can I choose my location?
You can specify your preferences regarding the choice of location. We will assign the most suitable location to your request, subject to availability, but this is without guarantee.
How do I pay for my stay at Camping Plein Sud?
A deposit of 25% of the total cost of your stay plus booking fees (€10 in low season and €20 in July/August) is required for all bookings. The balance must be paid no later than 30 days before your arrival. If necessary, the management reserves the right to cancel your stay (see General Terms and Conditions of Sale).
What payment methods are accepted?
At time of booking: CB, bank transfers, cheques, ANCV (classic and connect). On site: CB, cash, ANCV (classic and connect). Cheques are not accepted on arrival. American Express cards are not accepted.
What are the deposits required for my stay?
To guarantee the respect of our rentals & equipment, a security deposit (non-refundable) will be requested upon arrival. For accommodation: a deposit of 410 EUR. 280 EUR for rental, 100 EUR for cleaning& 30 EUR for magnetic card. Deposits will be returned to you by post within a month of your departure, after deduction of any missing items, damage, etc. If these costs exceed the amount of the security deposit, the tenant agrees to pay the difference. The deposit does not constitute a limit of liability. – for pitches: 30 EUR for entry badge (deposit returned on departure when card is returned)
Is there an inventory on arrival?
We do not carry out an inventory of fixtures on arrival. We ask you to check the general condition of your rental and to report any shortcomings or repairs no later than 24 hours after arrival, so that we can take immediate action. Complaints will not be considered after 24 hours.
Can I smoke in my rental?
All accommodation is non-smoking, and failure to comply will result in a minimum €75 fine. Please respect this ban and go to the designated smoking area or outside.
Will the bar be open in pre-season?
The Bar is only open in high season: Every day from 05/07 to 28/08, from 3pm to 11pm. Bar License III
Are pets allowed, and what are the rules?
Pets are welcome on bare pitches and in some rental units (except category 1 and 2 dogs). However, please remember to keep them on a leash at all times on site, for the well-being & safety of all. It is strictly forbidden to leave your pet unattended on the site. Please make sure they leave the environment clean. It’s your responsibility. Pets are not allowed around the swimming and aqua-ludic area. A fee of EUR 4.00 per day (depending on the period) will be charged. Vaccination certificates must be up to date and will be requested on arrival. Please note: dogs are not allowed in our accommodation. Our furry friends will be able to make the most of their stay in the Vendée and enjoy beautiful walks through the dunes and forest. Many of the beaches in St Jean de Monts are accessible to our 4-legged friends.
Can I rent baby equipment?
We offer a range of baby equipment for hire, separately or in kit form (chair, cot, booster seat, potty), depending on the age of your little one. As we only have a limited stock, we invite you to reserve it before your arrival, when booking your vacation. For reasons of hygiene, sheets and undersheets are not supplied for the cot. We can also provide you with a bathtub and baby carriage free of charge (a non-cashable deposit will be required). I forgot my sheets. Can I rent or buy some on site?
We rent sheets at €14 per week. Additional blankets can be lent free of charge on request, while stocks last.
How are the accommodations equipped?
Our accommodations are all equipped with crockery & pillows/blankets are provided. A sample inventory is available in the Downloads section of our website. Don’t forget to bring your own sheets and towels, which are not provided in the rentals. You can rent them on site. All our rentals are equipped with kitchens, bathrooms and shower rooms (except for nature accommodations where there is electricity but no water or bathroom/shower facilities).
