A great day out.
We visited Planete Sauvage on a cloudy day & glad we did it! The whole park is spacious, well-kept and very secure. We’re glad we did as there wasn't any queueing up to see the animals and it was possible to stop whenever we wanted to just to admire the beauty of the animals (lions, elephants, bears, giraffes, zebras and so much more) or to take pics. Feeding specifics animals out the window was a highlight as were the cheeky goats at the mid-way picnic spot. Also bring own picnic
Following "the Safari" there are other animals to see as well as dolphins performing. All had been bred in captivity. There is a wild area that you explore on foot.
Don’t miss the Jungle Temple…You can go to the top and take great panoramic pics from there.
Overall we had a fantastic day and would recommend it to anyone.
Definitely will return another day...
A little word of warning though:
Dolphin show: you are sat out in the open for about an hour with no cover, so take hats or plenty of sun cream or both if you are going on a hot day. The dolphin show commentary is done in French.
Don’t forget to take your own picnic.

Brilliant Family Day out
The Château des Aventuriers makes a fun day out…Excellent way to get exercise and have fun at the same time. The adventure trails is great fun and we kept our 2 kids - now 7 and 5 fully amused all day! Lots to do for the kids. Pirate Treasure Hunt, Dino Trail and the Western Town with games & bouncy castles…all in one beautiful chateau. Lovely grounds; clean & tidy with atmospheric music playing everywhere to suit each world. We had really a wonderful time.
All together solving the clues (in 4 languages) and completing little puzzles and challenges. Very imaginative & educative!
Secrets of the house challenge was pleasant (5 euros more to get a tablet). This makes looking around the Château much more interesting for kids, especially the “secret” room at the end...
Worth every euros! We simply LOVE it here!
Don’t forget to take your own picnic, plenty of space and worth it. Don’t forget as well a stroller for your toddler & hiking shoes. Dogs allowed.

FANTASTIC ZOO
This zoo is well worth a visit, you get so close to so many animals that have spacious enclosures. A wonderful large & very clean well-arranged zoo where the animals are clearly well cared for.
Highlights moments are the ‘Spectacle des Oiseaux”…it was brilliant, well-choreographed & unlike anything you could see elsewhere. Secondly, kids have the opportunity to feed different animals…A really great moment for them!
The staff were also very helpful.
I really recommend this to families with children and none of the animals seemed distressed
Plenty of eateries, but you can also take a picnic.
Needs a whole day as it is so big. Thoroughly recommend a visit.

What a fantastic attraction!
Had an absolutely amazing day out here. Reasonably priced & you get fantastic fun for all ages & abilities.
Staff were very helpful and excellent instruction in both English & French. Following a safety debrief and a short "test" course, you're off to explore the various courses throughout the woods. Great zip lines over the lakes too.
There is no food or drink being sold there either, just a vending machine. So don’t forget to take a picnic.
There are also other activities to do: pony ride, paintball, Disc Golf
Really a visit worth!

Fun Family Canoeing.
Had a canoe for 2 adults & 2 children. Friendly staff! They supplied us with a waterproof container (to keep personal belongings & picnic dry) & life jackets. We had an awesome afternoon gently canoeing past some fabulous sights (wildlife).
Go for it, you’ll love it!
Make sure you do a reservation before esp. in summer months!
No cashpoint in Sallertaine, so please make sure you have enough cash on hand.

Our visit begins with a short film which presents the biodiversity of the country & its coastline. It continues with an interactive space (multi-touch table, tactile models, virtual pond, etc.) that makes us discover the unsuspected world of nature around us (birds, sea creatures, shells and all kind of insects).
We explored our 5 senses throughout the exhibition, my kids loved it.
Afterwards we walked through the forest & dunes: A funny & rewarding family getaway...
Negative: only 10 tablets. Booking is obligatory. (Security deposit required and 10 € extra cost) Watch out for busy days because the showroom is small.
Positive: After leaving Biotopia, we were pleasantly surprised to receive by email our “Day” diary with funny pictures.
But I shall say no more.
