Opening dates of the Camping Plein Sud in Vendée?

The campsite welcomes you for rentals from 07/04 to 16/09 and for camping pitches from 05/05 to 16/09.

The rest of the year, only the offices (telephone reception, e-mails, internet) remain open.

Camping reception hours?

The team of camping Plein Sud de St Jean de Monts welcomes you every day from 8:00 to 12:30 / 14:00 to 19:30, and Saturday from 08:00 to 20:00 (in July & August).

In low season, we can be reached by phone on 02 51 59 10 40 from Monday to Friday from 9h00 to 12h30 and from 14h00 to 18h00 or by email: info@campingpleinsud.com

What are the arrival days?

In the pre-season the arrivals are free.

We give you the possibility to book short stays in low season (minimum 2 nights); except for long weekends (1st May, 8th May, Ascension, Pentecost: 3 nights minimum).

In July/August, we offer arrivals on Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday.

In high season, rentals are for a minimum of 7 nights. Escape from the roads & extend your rental stay by a few days with our 10/11 nights packages (on some accommodations only). For your information, smoking is strictly forbidden in our accommodation.

As far as our bare pitches are concerned, arrival days are free but no reservation for less than 10 nights between 08/07 & 20/08 will be accepted. Your friendly pets (vaccinated, tattooed & provided with a European passport) are only admitted on the camping sites.

Why do I have to declare the names of all participants on my contract (before I arrive)?

It is a regulatory obligation for the campsite to keep an accurate list of all persons present. This list also allows us to calculate the amount of tourist tax to collect.

What is the tourist tax?

0.61 €/day/persons 18 years old & over (subject to modification by the prefecture)

The tourist tax is a tax on the stays that can collect the French communes recognized as tourist resort and is collected by the lodgers, hoteliers, owners, etc.. Rates vary by destination. This tax will be requested when you arrive at the campsite and can vary according to the age of the persons and be determined over a specific period of the year (from 01/04 to 30/09).

What is the cancellation guarantee?

The cancellation guarantee is an optional package payable in full and only when you book your holiday. It corresponds to 3.50% of the stay. This guarantee ensures the reimbursement of the sums paid (by providing proof) and applies in the cases cited in the General Conditions of Sale.

How can I book my holiday if I do not have a credit card?

You can contact us at 02.51.59.10.40 and we will make your reservation together. Thus, you will receive a complete rental contract "option" valid only 7 days, which will be validated upon receipt of your payment (check, holiday checks, transfer).

Can I choose my own camping pitch ?

You can mention your preferences on the choice of location. We will assign the most suitable location to your request, subject to availability, but this remains without any guarantees.

How does the payment for a stay work ?

A deposit will be required for all reservations:

  • for accommodation: 25% of the total amount of the stay as well as 20 EUR for booking fees for long stays & 10 EUR for management fees for short stays (non-refundable).
  • for camping pitches: 80 EUR + 20 EUR booking fee for long stays & 10 EUR management fee for short stays (non-refundable).

The balance must be paid at the latest 30 days before your arrival.

If necessary, the Management reserves the right to cancel your stay (see General Conditions of Sale).

What payment methods are accepted?

  • On Internet: CB (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, etc.)
  • By telephone: Transfers, bank checks & ANCV holiday checks (for French customers)
  • On site: credit cards, cash, checks, ANCV
  • American Express cards are not accepted

What about the Check-in (Arrival) ?

In Low Season (April, May, June & September)

You can arrive at any time, just contact us in advance so that we can prepare your rental.

In High Season (July, August)

From 14h (for bare pitches) & 16h (for rent). In order to take full advantage of your stay and to facilitate admission upon arrival, do not forget to prepare your deposit.

What about deposits ?

To guarantee the respect of our rentals & our equipment, a deposit (not cashed) will be asked to you at the arrival.

For accommodations : a deposit of 410 EUR

300 EUR for rental, 80 EUR for cleaning & 30 EUR for magnetic card

The deposit will be returned to you by post within one month after your departure, after deduction of any missing items, damage, etc.. If these costs exceed the amount of the deposit, the tenant undertakes to pay the differential balance. The deposit does not constitute a limit of liability.

For pitches : 30 EUR for the entry badge (deposit given on departure when the card is returned)

Can I arrive outside the opening hours of the reception ?

Yes. It is possible to arrive after the reception closes. Just let us know in advance so we can get organized and explain how to proceed.

Is there an inventory on arrival ?

We do not make an inventory of fixtures when entering. We ask you to check the general condition of your rental and to report any defects or repairs no later than 24 hours after arrival, so that we can act immediately. Complaints will not be taken into account after 24 hours.

Can I smoke inside my rental?

All accommodations are non-smoking, non-compliance will result in a minimum fine of 75 €. Please respect this prohibition and go to the place provided for this purpose or outside.

Opening and closing times of the access barriers ?

Barriers are open from 7am to 11pm.

The campsite is accessible thanks to the magnetic card that would have been provided to you when you checked in at reception. If you arrive after the gates close, we ask you to park your car in the visitor parking lot at the campsite entrance and walk to your pitch.

As a reminder:

The speed within the establishment is limited to 10km/h and traffic is strictly prohibited between 23h & 7h, for safety & respect of everyone's sleep.

What about the Check-Out?

No later than noon for camping pitches and no later than 10 am for rental accommodation.

Departures are between 8am & 10am for rentals. Additional charges in case of late departure.

For the rentals, we invite you to come to the reception a few days before your departure in order to fix together your inventory of fixtures of exit the day of your departure.

If you wish, you can always choose the end of stay cleaning option at the price of 45 € per hour per cleaning person.

Do you offer a cleaning service at the end of your stay?

To enjoy until the end of your holiday we offer a cleaning package at the end of your stay (45 EUR per hour per cleaning agent).

The cleaning package includes the cleaning of all the parts of the mobile homes.

It must be booked 7 days in advance. In any case, the dishes must be done & put away, the bins emptied and the refrigerator cleaned (not included in the package)

Can I leave early in the morning ?

Yes. You can leave before the reception opens. Attention...to respect the sleep of our holidaymakers, the gates open only from 7am. If you wish to leave at dawn, we invite you to leave your vehicle on the outside carpark and go there quietly on foot.

However, you must notify the reception in advance so that we can give you the information you need to organise your departure.

We remind you that you are responsible for your rental and that the inventory will be made without your presence.

The rental must be returned in a perfectly clean condition. Otherwise, we will be obliged to maintain your deposit and if it is not sufficient to cover the costs of the repair, you undertake to perfect the sum.

Will the Bar be open in the pre-season?

The Bar is only open during the high season :

Every day from 08/07 to 31/08, from 15h to 23h00.

What about pets ?

Our friends the animals are welcome on the bare camping pitches (except Dogs of category 1 and 2 not authorized).

However, remember to keep them on a leash at all times on site for the well-being & safety of all. It is strictly forbidden to leave your pet alone unattended on the plot. Please make sure it leaves the environment clean. It's your responsibility.

Animals are not allowed around the swimming and aqua-play area. A fee of 1 to 3 EUR per day (depending on the period) will be charged.

The vaccination certificate must be up to date and will be requested upon your arrival. Comments: dogs are not allowed in our accommodation.

Our hairy friends can fully enjoy their stay in Vendée and take beautiful walks through dunes & forest. Many beaches in St Jean de Monts are accessible to our little four-legged animals.

FRIGO GARNI. What does it mean ?

The "Frigo garni" (Full fridge) is to order as soon as you book your stay.

You will find the following ingredients in the Frigo Garni :

1L semi-skimmed milk - 1L orange juice - ground coffee - instant chocolate powder - white sugar cubes - bread ball - sweet butter - jam - 1L water - pasta - grated cheese - 6 eggs - white ham

We can of course replace the ham with turkey or chicken...

Can I rent baby equipment ?

We offer various baby equipment to rent separately or in kit (chair, bed, booster seat, small potty) depending on the age of your little one.

Having only a limited stock, we invite you to reserve it before your arrival, when booking your holidays.

For hygiene reasons, sheets & sheets are not provided for the cot.

We also put at your disposal free of charge bathtub, bottle warmer and stroller (a deposit not cashed will be required)

For your information: your "bout'chou" is considered as a whole person in our rentals...

Oops I forgot my sheets...can I rent some or buy some?

We rent cloth sheets for 16 EUR per week.

You also have the possibility to buy disposable sheets :

Kit for double bed = 6 EUR

Kit for single bed = 4,50 EUR

Additional blankets can be lent to you free of charge on request and this of course within the limit of stock.

How are the accommodations equipped?

Our accommodations are all equipped with crockery & pillows/covers are provided. A sample Inventory is visible in the Download tab of our website.

Remember to bring your sheets and household linen, not provided in the rental. You can rent it on site.

All our rentals are equipped with kitchens, toilets and shower room (except for natural accommodation where there is electricity but no water or sanitary/shower)
